Seduta alla sua macchina da cucire crea almeno una decina di strane creature al giorno, unendo pellicce, stoffe, decorazioni, pezzi di bambole, abiti usati, occhi di plastica. Le sue creazioni sono abbinamenti improbabili di materiali e forme originali che spesso elabora mentre svolge un’attività qualsiasi, prepara una torta o porta i figli all’asilo. Non esegue quasi mai un disegno preparatorio delle sue creature, esse scaturiscono direttamente dalla sua immaginazione e a lei non rimane che sedersi e realizzarle. Ha creato anche una collezione di grosse teste pelose che possono essere indossate sopra la vostra testa , ricche ovviamente di zanne e una quantità sconveniente di occhi. Il suo lavoro è molto apprezzato e la sta rendendo famosa, i suoi lavori vanno a ruba, tanto che spera di poter trasformare la sua vena creativa in un’attività a tempo pieno, convinta che il creare cose morbide ed innocue sia il modo migliore per educare ad una vita pacifica, colorata e divertente.
